Venice, Florida: A Personal Story

I always knew I wanted to end up in Florida. I love warm weather, going to the beach, and being surrounded by beautiful animals, trees, flowers, and foliage all-year around. I had family that lived in Florida and always loved visiting. In the year XXXX, my husband and I found ourselves together in and empty house for the first time ever. All of our kids had gone off to various places around the U.S. to start their lives and we were left at home alone with our German Shepherd. I started to again bring up my lifelong dream of living in Florida, but now, it seemed like a real possibility instead of some wish I would utter in my mind when gazing at a twinkling star. The more we discussed it, the more this dream because real in our minds, so we decided to take a trip down to Florida to pin down where we wanted this dream to take us. We did a lot of research, and we fell in love with the gulf coast. With our search narrowed greatly, we started to find quaint little communities that we wanted to check out. We went to stay with a friend who lived on the gulf coast and visited all of the towns we jotted down on our list of potential dream locations. As we searched, we found towns with restaurants we loved, towns with architecture we loved, and towns with vibrant social scenes, but none of them checked all of our boxes. We drove up from our friends how to see my husband’s father and wife in Sarasota, and while we were out at dinner discussing the towns we saw, what we liked, and what we didn’t seem to like as much, my in-laws friend brought up the town of Venice, Florida. She said we absolutely must go check it out and seemed fairly convinced that it had the potential to check all of the boxes on our list. We did some research on Venice that very night and saw that we would drive right by on our way back to our friend’s house the next day, so we planned a short trip. When we arrived in Venice, we were amazed we had missed it in our previous search for towns that would suit our needs. My husband is a very active person who loves to exercise and be outdoors. He runs marathons, does triathlons, and having the ability to train outdoors surrounded by beauty was an absolutely must. As we perused the city, we found wide streets, gorgeous beaches, expansive parks, and sparkling waterways where he could train to his hearts content. I love food, so it was important for me to have access to world-class dining experiences, and as we asked around town about where we could get an extraordinary meal and dining experience, we were pointed in the direction of many different options, but we were astounded by the one we chose to test out. Marcello Ristorante stole my heart from the first moment I stepped inside. We walked along the canals and visited the beach to check out the sunset, and my mind was made up. I couldn’t imagine finding anywhere I wanted to live more than Venice, Florida. With our minds made up, we started planning. I started searching for homes immediately and fell in love with the process. My husband started to dream up ways of how he could relocate when his thriving Chiropractic office was located in Orchard Park, NY, just outside of Buffalo, which is just about as far north as you could get from Florida without leaving the U.S. Figuring out how we were going to build our life in Florida was a challenge, but it was one we wanted to accept. We knew in our hearts and souls that we had to make the leap. My love for Venice, the passion I felt flooding my body, mind, and spirit as I searched for a new home in Venice, Florida, and the many challenges we had to overcome during the process of relocating our hopes, dreams, businesses, dog, selves, and everything we owned all the way from Buffalo down to Venice, Florida is what made we want to become a Real Estate agent. I have always been an outgoing, caring, and compassionate person, and I have always been one to help when help in needed, so ushering people through these challenges with ease, grace, and all the knowledge they need to make the leap with a lot less hiccups, roadblocks, shocks, and delays than we encountered when we made the same leap over 15 years ago brings me great satisfaction. I want everyone to find exactly what they have been dreaming of in Venice, Florida and I want them to be able to enjoy the process. My own personal experience, my years of training and research, and my innate predisposition to listen carefully, care deeply, and find a multitude of ways to help when help is needed is what makes me a phenomenal Real Estate agent. I was born and raised in the New York City, and I know how to negotiate with the best of them. While my children were small, I spent years caring for the elderly as they neared the end of their lives and working with these beautiful souls and their grieving families taught me a lot, including how to read people, discern what their hearts are really asking for, and how to anticipate their needs. These skills have proved invaluable while supporting my clients in all of their Real Estate needs, and I have seen other experienced and adept Real Estate agents struggle in situations that required these skills because these skills are learned through very specific experiences that cannot be taught in a training course or learned simply through the act of facilitating the buying and selling of homes. They are skills that put any buyer or seller at an advantage when working with me whether they are buying, selling, moving across the country, or moving down the road. What sets me apart from the rest for anyone looking to relocate to Venice, Florida or the surrounding areas is my dedication to help with all aspects of the relocation process because I’ve been there myself while I was making this harrowing move, have years of experience helping to smooth the path for many clients since, and have an enduring passion for little old Venice, Florida and think everyone should have a chance to fulfill their own dream of finding their own slice of heaven here in my favorite place on earth. No matter what life has thrown your way, you can trust me to listen, understand, and investigate until I find the perfect solutions for you. With me by your side, you’ll never be left to figure it all out on your own.
